Happy Yellow Studio, previously 3 Moons Studio, aka Chateau 52, is located at 52 Main Street in Delaware Water Gap, Pa. I first spotted the house in 2001 when I made arrangements to pick up a friend who was hiking the Appalachian Trail (AT). Fun fact, the house is walking distance to the AT Mt. Minsi trailhead. The town had a charm to it and the house had a for sale sign out front. I instantly loved it and with help from my father, closed on the property October of the same year. For many years it was my yoga studio, before I knew and fully understood the impact of my culturally appropriative actions, and for a brief stint it was a gift shop. Now it is my private residence and art studio. I am currently in the process of reviving production of my handmade notecards that I've made for many years under the name Scraps. Some cards are original mini collages, while others are prints of my original mini collages. Immediate future plans include adding to the notecard line and expanding into larger trash art collages, which will incorporate my other loves of zero/low waste, minimalism, and picking up litter. Future future plans include getting the studio up to the new Pennsylvania building codes so we can open to the public again, this time around to offer art classes and zero waste workshops. In summary, Happy Yellow Studio is a place for art, trash, hiking, zero waste & minimalism...weird combo? Yeah, maybe, but here I am! Welcome to my world.
